Does what it says on the box.
Does what it says on the box.
All as per above tick boxes. Item as advertised and delivered quickly.
Good quality but built to a price. Works well and does what it is designed to.
Easy to use, well priced, does the job well. Would recommend this site.
Does what it says on the box. good value for money and easy to use. the handle connections could be stronger but overall, very good product.
It's o k but the tines clog up very easily. The one i bought 20 years ago did the same. I hoped they would have rectified the problem by now.
The tines don't take cores from the lawn if it is too wet but it still makes holes and is far easier to use than a fork produceng larger holes much easier.
The rubber handle is thin & wears really quickly.
Excellent product, better than other makes the springs make it easy to retract from the ground. I am over 70 and used many types over the years. This is the best!
Ground is so hard it is difficult to rate this as it clogs up so quickly. But as there have been repeated requests from this business for a review, anything for a quieter life! Ground needs to be thoroghly wet before it can be effective.
Do not buy. Poor quality and weak welding. A spring broke off and then the entire handle within 10 mins of use. Good features if the tool stayed intact.
Absolute rubbish. Springs are far too strong making it almost impossible to penetrate the lawn, despite several weeks of heavy rain, and the entry spikes are not sharp enough. You probably need to weigh about 20stone to push the tines into the lawn! don't buy this!!!
Reasonable product. The soil cores do not get ejected properly even on soft lawns. I reckon only around 5% of the cores are ejected. As another reviewer said, it just becomes like a garden fork. on the plus side it is easier to retract than a garden fork due to springs.
I purchased this tool because it looked well built and robust unlike previous purchases from local garden centres. the item i received was slightly different from the one pictured. No thumbs screws to the outside of the handle - instead wing-nuts on the inside which is easy to scratch you leg on. i found that no matter how hard or easy i tried this product would not eject the cores out of the holes....It would seem that the hole diameters are to small. The result was the earth was just pushed into the ground similar to just using a garden fork. as a result - i wouldn't recommend it!!

Customer Questions & Answers
Q : hi ive been researching these and i understand that it is better to leave the soil lying on the surface and not lift them is that possible with this machine, i want to overhaul my lawn in september
A : Hi Ruth, the intention behind the design of this aerator is that the soil cores get collected in the tray above the springs and it doesn't look like the tray can be easily removed so it may be worth looking into an alternative model if you'd rather leave the soil on the surface.
